The

Dottie Bones

Method

An osteoporosis or osteopenia diagnosis can leave you feeling stunned, fragile, and lost about what to do next. The Dottie Bones Method was designed to help you connect the dots to understand your bone loss and learn how to nourish and strengthen your bones, so that you can feel unbreakable.

You've probably been told...

And somewhere along the way, you found yourself constantly worrying about your bones, searching for answers, finding conflicting opinions, and feeling more defeated than when you started.

Sound familiar? Then this program might be for you.

What's really going on?

Your bones are influenced by far more than just calcium and vitamin D. What you eat, how your body absorbs nutrients, your blood sugar, hormones, inflammation, exercise, stress and sleep all play a role in bone health.

This program is for you if:

→ You’ve been diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia and want to take an active role in your bone health

→ You’re overwhelmed by conflicting information about nutrition and supplements

→ You don’t fully understand your bone density scans or lab results

→ You want to identify and address the underlying factors contributing to your bone loss

→ You’re ready to make sustainable changes to your diet

→ You’re worried about your long-term health and independence

One in two women over 50 will break a bone because of osteoporosis.

Yet, most women receive little to no nutrition or lifestyle guidance after a diagnosis. A prescription is written, and they’re sent home without a clear picture of all of the things they could do strengthen their bones and help prevent fractures.

The Problem with Standard Care for Osteoporosis and Osteopenia

Introducing...

The Dottie Bones Method

The Dottie bones method is built in five phases, each one designed to move you from confusion to clarity and from knowing to doing.

Phase 1: Your Diagnosis, Decoded: From confused to informed. You’ll learn how to understand your diagnosis, labs, and DEXA scan, and begin to identify what may be contributing to your bone loss. You stop fearing the numbers and start using them.
Phase 2: Nourish Your Bones: Build your nutrition foundation. You’ll learn how to build a plate with anti-inflammatory foods and balanced macros for bone rebuilding and overall metabolic health.
Phase 3: Close the Gaps: From nutrition confusion to a personalized strategy. Minerals, oxalates, the alkaline diet debate, and your supplement stack. Learn how to support the micronutrients needed for strong bones.
Phase 4: Move With Intention: Bones respond to load. You’ll learn which types of movement build bone density, how to exercise safely with osteoporosis, and find a plan that works for you.
Phase 5: Rest and Restore: From depleted to resilient. Your gut has to absorb the nutrients your bones need. Your stress hormones affect bone turnover. Your sleep is when repair happens. This phase addresses the three pillars that make everything else work optimally.
Bonus Content: Digging deeper. Learn about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and bone health, osteoporosis medications, and bi-weekly FAQ roundups.

What Changes When You Understand Your Bones

You stop dreading your DEXA scan, and instead look forward to seeing progress you’ve made.

You know what to eat and why, based on your own labs and your own needs, not from advice on social media.

You walk into your doctor’s appointments knowing where you stand. You know what questions to ask, and you understand the answers.

You let go of the constant fear of falling or breaking a bone.

You stop wondering if you’re doing enough, because you finally have a plan you trust.

About Us

Dottie Bones started with a diagnosis.

When Tracy received her osteoporosis diagnosis, the first thing she thought of was her mom. She’d watched her go on a terrible, pain-filled journey with osteoporosis, and knew she didn’t want to go down the same path.

So we did what we’ve always done with the clients we’ve worked with. We dug in and asked questions. We tried to understand why she’d lost bone despite living a healthy, active lifestyle, and figured out what we could do to address it.

What we found was that bone health advice is confusing, fragmented, not individualized, and doesn’t address the root cause. What started as Tracy trying to figure out her own bones turned into identifying a real gap in women’s healthcare. We started Dottie Bones to be the resource and the support that women with low bone density are missing.

Common Questions

Why should I do this course instead of just following what my doctor tells me?

This program isn’t a replacement for your doctor. It’s what happens *between* appointments. Most doctors have 10–15 minutes (or less!) with you and default to “take calcium and vitamin D” because that’s the standard, fastest guidance. We go deeper: your labs, your diet, your gut, your hormones, your stress…all the pieces that actually influence bone density but rarely get discussed. You’ll walk into your next appointment more informed and better equipped to discuss your health.

No, this course is appropriate for those with osteoporosis, osteopenia, or those who want to be proactive about their bone health.

This course was designed for women, but men are welcome to join!

We’ll cover general education on medications so that you can have more informed discussions with your doctor regarding your options, but we are not licensed medical doctors and cannot tell you whether you should or should not be on a medication. This course is for educational purposes only and doesn’t replace the care of your own doctor.

No, but we’ve got you covered.  We’ll share our favorite exercise resources and programs in the bone health space so you can pair nourishment with the type of movement that works best for you.

To keep the program accessible and affordable, we’ve built the program around self-paced lessons, however you’re not left to figure it out all on your own. You will be given a direct channel to send your questions that come up along the way directly to Amy & Tracy. We got you!

You will be able to send over any questions that come up along the way via messenger for weekly support directly from Amy & Tracy.

We are still fully building out all of the modules, so we are still figuring this out. Our current estimate is ~20-30 minutes a week with the core video lessons wrapping up around month 4-5.

We know that can sound like a long time. But bone rebuilding is slow, and there are no real quick fixes here. This course is designed to help you stay focused and accountable through that process, not rush you through it.

You’ll have access to the course for the life of the program in its current self-paced format, or for a minimum of 12 months, whichever is longer. If we discontinue the program or remove access for any reason after the 12-month mark, we’ll give you advance notice.

Please note: the ability to submit questions for the FAQ expires after 6 months. We will explore ways that members can add-on support after this 6 month period, however.

Yes.

This course is intended to give you the knowledge and tools to take an active role in your bone health, through a better understanding of your own labs, nutrition, and lifestyle.

Everyone’s starting point is different; genetics, medical history, and other health factors all play a role in bone health outcomes. We make no guarantee of results, and individual outcomes will vary.

We are unable to order labs in these states or internationally. We recommend purchasing the “education only” version of the course and requesting labs mentioned above from your doctor.

Totally fine! You can purchase the “education only” option of the course.

We recommend talking with your doctor to see if they are able or willing to order more in-depth labs for you. Please note that we will not be providing lab reviews for the “education only” version of this course.

Great question. Hormones play a huge role in bone health, but most of our customers are peri- or post-menopausal and already working with an HRT prescriber who’s monitoring their hormone levels, or interested in working with one in the not so far off future. We don’t want you paying for duplicate labs. If there’s enough interest in an add-on hormone panel in the future, we’ll make it happen.

Nope! The lab draw fee is included in your purchase with Dottie Bones.

No. While we hope you enjoy our program enough that you want to share, we pour our heart and soul into this work, and it is our livelihood. We reserve the right to remove log-in access if our policy is violated.

Only the name on the account is able to participate in discussion and have labs ordered in their name. We value your business and appreciate your understanding.

This program may not be a good fit for those with serious medical conditions or contraindications with nutrition intake and supplements, such as, but not limited to:

    • Certain medical diagnoses – kidney disease (CKD, ESRD, or dialysis), liver disease or cirrhosis, gout, active cancer, urea cycle disorders (including PKU), suppressed immune system (e.g., post-organ transplant)
    • A strict vegan or plant-based diet – our nutrition philosophy includes the incorporation of animal products. However, we do offer alternatives to those that are dairy free.
    • Significant food allergies, a highly limited diet, or eating disorders requiring a deeper level of support or customization
    • Those hoping to lose weight – while some people may see an improvement in their body composition as a side effect of supporting their bones and improving their metabolic health, this is not a weight loss program.

If you are unsure, please consult with your doctor before making any changes. You can contact us at [email protected] if you have additional questions.

If you have had a fracture within the past 12 months, please note that two of the lab markers on our Bone Health Panel may be skewed (P1NP & CTX). If you’d like a panel without these markers, send us an email at [email protected] to discuss your options.

Due to the instant access to course content and the lab costs we incur on your behalf, all sales are final once you enroll. If you have any questions before purchasing, email us at [email protected]. We want you to feel confident when you join and we’re happy to help you figure out if this is the right fit first.

  • Labs can only be completed at a Labcorp and must be completed within 3 months of receiving the requisition form.
  • There are a few markers that require preparation starting ~48-72 hours before: no strenuous or intense exercise, keeping your routine the same for follow up labs, discontinuing certain nutritional supplements, and having your lab draw completed while fasted, in the morning. This helps ensure the most accurate results.

Stronger bones start with understanding what's actually driving bone loss.
